DEAN SETS THE WAY AT OPENING ROUND OF PREMIER

Last Sunday on what was a bitterly cold day the long awaited opening round of the 2016 Phoenix Tools Premier Motocross Championship took place at Phoenix Moto Parc, Kingsteignton in Devon. Every effort had been put into making sure the event went ahead and the track was prepped to perfection and was to produce some top quality racing.

ACU North Western Return to this years’ Manchester Bike Show – 2nd and 3rd of April

Last year the ACU North Western covered a large 3000 sq ft area with various activities which are planned to be included in this years’ event, such as Bumpy Ltd with “Try our Sport”. Throughout the two days there will be free ‘one to one “taster” tuition’ to members of the public that are interesting in learning how to ride off road.  Also returning is the Stunt Monkey Ltd show who will be putting on some amazing Stunt shows for all to watch. Brands Hatch early season is never an easy prospect. I am sure most of us can recall the catalogue of incidents a few years back put down to a very cold track…..Incidentally at the same meeting Shannon Hale lapped quicker on her F400 Kawasaki with treaded road tyres than all the 600 open machines on trick race rubber !!!!.

Putoline South Midland Tough Ten Trial

The sixth running of this increasingly popular prestige trial, organised by the Berkhamsted, Hillingdon & Uxbridge and Kenton & Kingsbury clubs will take place at its usual venue of Round Rocket Plantation, West Hyde Lane, Gerrards Cross, Bucks. SL9 0QP on the 12th June, 2016 with a start time of 10-30.

ACU Motocross Project shortlisted for ITV’s The People’s Project

The ACU backed Motocross Challenge Project (MXCP) has been shortlisted for ITV’s The People’s Projects in partnership with the Big Lottery Fund. MXCP has made it to the final five and stands to win a significant grant to help support the valuable opportunities it provides for young people. A short film about MXCP was aired on ITV at the end of February and the public now have the chance to vote for their overall winner.
