Lewis Tombs had a fantastic opening round at the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship at Fatcats on Sunday, where he walked away with the top position on the podium in the MX1 class for the Dave Thorpe run Buildbase Honda Team.

We caught up with Lewis following his 2019 win at the British Championship. Here is what he had to say.

#66 Lewis Tombs

“Really happy with Sunday’s win and for it to be my first Maxxis podium. I can’t quite believe it. I had two great starts and tried to be sensible and not ride beyond myself. A little bit of luck along the way also helped but that’s racing. I would like to say a big thanks to Buildbase Honda for all the effort they put in. Rob, Ry, Willy and Dave have been great getting me comfortable.”

We look forward to seeing Lewis back in action at Lyng on 14th April
