The Thor British Youth National Championship takes a trip across the border into Scotland on June 24th & 25th for the fourth round of the 2017 series.

The Duns motocross track is one of the best off-road facilities in the country, and is looking forward to playing host to some of Britain’s rising stars that will compete there on June 24 and 25 for round four of the Thor British Youth National Championship.

So far the championship has provided some excellent racing in 2017 with the stars of tomorrow battling it out on 85cc to 250cc machines at a number of venues throughout the UK. At present riders Wal Beaney, Alfie Jones, Dominic Lancett, Rossi Beard and Howard Wainwright lead each of their respective championships, and will be looking to continue their form into the next round.

Duns motocross track is one of Scotland’s best dirtbike facilities and has been a staple in the Scottish off-road scene since as far back as the 80’s. It has played host to Scottish and British national events, including the Maxxis British Motocross Championship, and is now run by local racer Bryan Mackenzie, who retired from professional racing last year having been a mainstay at the head of the field in the British championships for 15 years. Bryan is from the nearby district of East Lothian.

Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities, which organises the Thor British Youth National series, commented: “Duns is a new track for the Thor British Youth National Championship and it’s certainly an event I really can’t wait to see our riders line-up at, as we head into the second half of the 2017 season. The circuit is located in a picturesque setting and looks to provide some first class racing for all. This championship is really the foundation for future stars of the sport, and we look forward to seeing them battle it out at Duns.”

If you would like to see the best youth motocross riders in the country in action, then head over to Duns on June 24 and 25 to check out the racing. Tickets are £5 for Adults and free to everyone under the age of 12. For more information head to rhlactivities.com
