Henry Jacobi 2019 season is over after an crash which has resulted in a torn ACL and meniscus which he will receive surgery for on Wednesday morning.

Jacobi was fighting for third spot in the Championship however will now miss the final rounds of the 2019 MXGP.

My 2019 season came to an heartbreaking end. I wanted that 3rd place in the world Championship so bad and finishing 3rd race one was one step closer to my goal and towards another podium finish. I went into a corner 2nd race, made the pass for 4th and just hit the ground with my foot, I knew immediately that something was wrong with my knee. Straight off the track we got into the camper where @mjacobi29 and @chrispo322 went full send to Schloss Werneck where all docs were waiting for me already. Now we know I’ve got a torn ACL and meniscus. I’ll have surgery on Wednesday morning and will take some time to come back stronger than ever. I know what’s in me and I know what I need to do. Next year will be a big year and I’m looking forward to the opportunity that’s been given to me in working together with some of the best and most professional people in MXGP! Also Thank you to my @fhracingteam for everything they did and do for me! I am sorry I couldn’t give you guys back more.
