Youthstream is very pleased to announce that Latvia will continue to be part of the FIM Motocross World Championship calendar until 2023.
After the success of the 2019 MXGP of Latvia, the local Organizer and the Latvian Federation have recently extended their multi-year agreement with Youthstream to ensure the MXGP of Latvia will have a place on the FIM Motocross World Championship Calendar until the 2023 included. The renewed agreement shows not only the outstanding cooperation among Youthstream, the local organizers, the Latvian Motorcycle Federation and the Latvian Government, but it also comes as part of a rising interest in Latvia for Motocross. Every year there are more young motocross talents arising and more fans are following our thrilling sport.

Besides, local heroes such as former MX2 World champion Pauls Jonass, who has finished already twice on the MXGP podium in his rookie season and 2019 rising star Edvards Bidzans, who was crowned EMX85 Champion last July 2019, are playing an important role to attract new fans and important media such as Channel Sports Baltic and Play Sport+ that are broadcasting the MXGP series LIVE this season.
The FIM Motocross World Championship made his debut in Latvia in 2009 and Kegums has been in the calendar every year including a successful Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations held in 2014. With such an experience in organizing MXGP and MXoN events, this new agreement represents a culmination of partnership among all the parties.
