At this weekends MXGP of Switzerland, KTM team boss Pit Beirer named his squad for the Monster Energy SMX Riders Cup which takes place on October 8 VELTINS-Arena, Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Multi-time world champion Tony Cairoli was surprisingly not included in the team which will be Ryan Dungey, Jeffrey Herlings and Marvin Musquin.

No confirmation as the reason for his exclusion, but it could be he’ll miss the event to heal any ongoing injuries from this season.

That alone should inspire people to come and support the event.”

With the addition of KTM and Husqvarna’s star studded line-up, to that of Honda, we are already in for an epic night at the VELTINS-Arena, Gelsenkirchen, Germany, where the manufacturers’ and riders’ alike will go head-to-head in attempt to make history in the evolution of motocross, as the first ever winners of the Monster Energy SMX Riders’ Cup!
