Meet Team kawasaki’s fast and female rider Beanie Reece, Beanie has only started riding a couple of years ago and is now one of the fastest girls on an 85 in the country! Here’s what Beanie had to say below about her start into racing.

Chelsea & Beanie

In, 2018, I was originally competing with my pony in the pony club but I was not too confident with the pony’s brakes or steering! My mum said that if I stopped riding my pony, I would have to do something else so my Dad bought me a  Honda XR80 and I learnt to ride that one around the field. Dad thought it would be good for me to have a go at Wheeldon Off Road Centre and that’s where I really began to learn about jumps and turns with other similar riders. In July 2018, I had my first race at Tincleton on a Kawasaki KX85 and then after that, I really wanted to race more. So we entered the 2019 British Women’s Motocross Championship. I finished 3rd in the championship that year.

Whats your favourite track?

I think my favourite track is Wroxton. I love the big jumps

Tell us about your favourite bike

My favourite bike has to be my 2020  Kawasaki KX85. I’ve done a lot of training with the bike and I just love riding it.

Tell us about your Plans for the future

In 2020, I joined  Team Green Kawasaki in the Fast & Female Squad with me in the Youth 85 and Chelsea Gowland in the Adult 250. The team is already sponsored by some mega brands such as Kawasaki UK, Silkolene, Madison, Bell, Alpinestars, Oakley etc., so I use social media to tag them all in on anything we do. This year has been difficult with Covid but we have tried our best. Riding for Team Green Kawasaki has been very special for me. It’s great to be involved. I appreciate everything that my family, my sponsors and Kawasaki do for me and I hope that when we re- start the British Women’s MX Championship that I can start getting some good results. This year, the really special experience has to be at the beginning of the year when Chelsea and I did the Arenacross Tour. That was just mad. I remember being on the gate for the start of the evening race and all I could see were thousands of spectators sitting in the stands – I will never forget that.

In 2020, I had high hopes of doing well in the British Women’s Championship and also competing abroad at the IMBA support rounds alongside Chelsea, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. Instead, I have done a lot of training with Lee Dunham Racing and entered any race just to get out there. If all goes well, I will be Racing every weekend until the Weston Beach race in mid October with MX Nationals, Bridgestone Masters, Girls Nationals & kids r us Southam challenge, so if I can get some good results, I will be happy for me, Team Green Kawasaki and everyone who supports me.
