According to the French website Moto-Verte, the MXGP of France will not take place this year which is scheduled for October 9th & 10th. We are yet to receive any official confirmation from Infront Moto Racing, but as soon as we know more we will update this article.
“Unfortunately, the current situation and the uncertainties are still too great to take the risk of organizing. After having worked on various projections with gauges of 3000, 5000 and 7000 spectators, we did not manage to complete the file. No one can know how the public will react in the next few months. We tried to find a financial agreement with Infront concerning the amount of the organization fees. The FFM made great efforts, but despite everything we did not succeed in reaching an agreement. For the durability of the Moto-Club, I don’t want to take any risks. An MXGP French GP in Saint-Jean costs money and requires a lot of energy. I really hope we will be back in 2022. We are on excellent terms with David Luongo and he fully understands our position. The date is free, which means that another French club can take a position, starting with Ernée. It’s a shame, Tom Vialle is made redundant at the club, I would have loved to see him ride at home in the shoes of a world champion. This is only a postponement. However, we are still going to organize an event in 2021”, President Jean-Marie Boissonnot told Moto-Verte.
