2023 is just around the corner and there are lots of team announcements coming from the British Motocross Championship. Most recently the Apico Husqvarna team announced they are having a streamlined team in 2023 with 1 rider in MX1 and 1 rider in MX2. Check out the official announcement below from the team.
As we approach 2023, it’s time to confirm our rider line-up for the upcoming year. The team will be streamlined, with Martin Barr in the MX1 category and Jack Lindsay in MX2.
This decision was not taken lightly and means the team can focus on both classes and put everything into achieving results for the team and our sponsors, whilst managing life outside of another hectic domestic schedule between the ACU-affiliated Revo British Motocross Championship fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels and Michelin MX Nationals.
Martin Barr “I’m very pleased to get a deal done with Apico Husqvarna for 2023, I know things could have been better in 2022, and I’ll be improving on this. I’m very happy with the bike, and the team and it made sense to stay where I feel comfortable. Last year everything came together at the last minute, this year I can focus on my training program and getting the new 2023 bike set up with plenty of time before the season starts. I’m really excited and looking forward to the start of the season. I need to go out and ride how I know I can ride. I believe that by being fully prepared I can improve on the 3rd place in the Michelin MX Nationals and 8th in the Revo British Motocross Championship Fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels. I’d like to thank Dylan & Anna at Apico Husqvarna and their suppliers as well as my personal sponsors for their support going forward into 2023”.
Jack Lindsay “I’m really looking forward to the 2023 season, this will be my 8th year with the team. I’ll be staying on the 2 Stroke in the MX2 class and competing in the Pro Classes at the Michelin MX Nationals and Revo British Motocross Championship fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels. I made the transition to the pro ranks in 2022 and surpassed expectations scoring points at every round of the Revo British Championship I attended except Canada Heights and every round of the Michelin MX Nationals. I will be training hard over the winter period; I have a new program in place and it’s working well for me. I’m aiming to push hard and improve again, to repay Apico Husqvarna, their suppliers, and my personal sponsors. I’d like to thank Dylan and Anna for the opportunity to continue with the team in 2023”.
Dylan Brown “We have a plan in place for 2023 and will look to concentrate our efforts with Martin and Jack in the British Championships and select events for the season. The race calendar for the Michelin MX Nationals and Revo British Championship fuelled by Gulf Race Fuels provides challenges for me & Anna in running our business and a race team. We feel that a streamlined Apico Husqvarna team will help everyone equally in progressing and achieving better results in 2023. I’m looking forward to seeing Martin & Jack progress as we’re all putting the effort in to perform for our sponsors and ourselves and improve on our 2022 position”.
