Over the next few weeks, we will be announcing teams and riders who have entered the 2024 NORA92 British Pro Championship. The first team to enter is one of the most respected team owners in the UK, Barry Moore. Barry owns and operates the Phoenix Even Strokes Kawasaki team from his native Devon HQ, alongside the business that he has been running for twenty-seven years. In 2021, Barry became the business co-owner of the motocross retail store Even Strokes. Barry has run his team part-time alongside his business and uses the team as a marketing flagship for his business. So when he is not working in the shop Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm you’ll find him at the motocross track!
Phoenix Even Strokes Kawasaki is one of two official Kawasaki teams in the UK and has signed the talented and much sought-after Charlie Cole to partner MX Nationals MX2 Champion Carlton Husband.
At the moment it is still undecided what class Carlton will be riding in next year, but it seems that Carlton will be testing the brand-new KXF450 in the next few weeks, so a move to MX1 could be on the cards. One of Carlton’s biggest supporters is none other than England number one, Jordan Pickford who has been a regular face around the Phoenix Even Strokes Kawasaki team over the past five years.
We caught up with Barry Moore to find out why he entered his team in the 2024 Nora Pro Championship.

I’m excited to announce that the team will be competing in the series! It came down to a few reasons, one being the Sunday format really suited me and the team personnel, as we all have jobs in the week. We also liked the idea of being able to race a couple of times in Europe without the huge cost. It would be €2000 to race a GP before you price up anything else, however, there is good prize money available for the riders and prize money for the top three teams. I know Clinton Putnam has been working behind the scenes to bring a GP feel to the event with a massive TV Screen and live streaming and podcast shows at every event. The whole team is excited for round one.
