Jo and Tom only met twice this season in SX, during the East-West Nashville and Salt Lake City shootouts, and every time the Honda rider outclassed Vialle. But, in fairness, the latter was fighting for the championship in the finale so it wasn’t an accurate comparison. But in Paris on November 16 and 17, Shimoda will have a title to defend and Vialle will be eager for victory at home. Other American SX riders are yet to be announced, but from now on, the SX2 Inter category, revived last year by the organisers, promises great emotions for the Paris Supercross fans.
Jo Shimoda finished six of the ten West Coast races on the podium and took the final race win in Denver a few days ago. Unfortunately for him, a mechanical breakdown in the mud in San Francisco removed him from the title race and he finished at the foot of the championship podium. One more reason to retain the crown of the Prince of Paris.
See you on November 16 & 17 at the Paris La Défense Arena for a 41st edition of what is expected to be a great 40th anniversary of the showpiece event.
