By signing 37-year-old Max Nagl, who has dominated the ADAC MX Masters in recent years, Dörr Motorsport is sending a clear signal of motocross expertise for the coming season. Together with British motorcycle manufacturer TRIUMPH, the team, which starts under the name Dörr Motorsport-TRIUMPH Racing powered by Krettek, is providing Max Nagl with a competitive package.
With his experience, ambition and exceptional talent, Max Nagl is a real asset for Dörr Motorsport and TRIUMPH. His signing underlines the team’s ambitions to fight for the title in the upcoming ADAC MX Masters season. The partnership between Dörr Motorsport, TRIUMPH and Max Nagl promises promising success. TRIUMPH, who will return to motocross in 2025 with a brand new motorcycle, brings over 100 years of tradition and technical expertise to the partnership. Max Nagl will compete for the first time on a TRIUMPH TF 450-RC – a model developed in close cooperation with motocross legend Ricky Carmichael. This new motorcycle sets new standards in terms of performance and reliability and is considered to be absolutely championship-ready.
In the current 2024/25 season, Dörr Motorsport has already demonstrated its capabilities together with TRIUMPH in the ADAC SX Cup as well as in the indoor motocross in Stuttgart and has been able to gain valuable insights for the development of the new project.
“With Max Nagl, we are not only gaining a special driver, but also a true champion who will make an invaluable contribution to our project with his experience and know-how,” explained team manager Niklas Raths.
“We are very proud to have Max Nagl on board in the first year of our Triumph Motocross commitment! I am sure that, as I have gotten to know him, he will fit in perfectly with our team and will inspire everyone with his motivating personality,” said team boss Rainer Dörr.
Max Nagl: “It’s great that such a renowned name as Dörr Motorsport is getting into motocross and I’m proud to be part of this new team. Our common goal is to win the ADAC MX Masters title – and we have two years to do it. I’m really looking forward to working with Rainer Dörr and Niklas Raths. The Dörr Motorsport Group brings extensive know-how from four-wheeled sport, where the level is even higher than in motocross. We can all benefit from this to make our work even more professional. As a big fan of car racing, I’m particularly pleased about this connection. Whenever time allows, I like to drive on circuits myself. Many thanks to the Dörr Motorsport Group for the trust they have placed in me. I’m highly motivated and look forward to this exciting challenge!”
With Max Nagl as the new top rider and the close collaboration with TRIUMPH, Dörr Motorsport is sending a clear signal for the future. Preparations for the 2025 ADAC MX Masters season are already in full swing and the team is looking forward to the new challenge with great anticipation.
