The contract is signed; after Cooper Webb, Jett and Hunter Lawrence, Aaron Plessinger will be behind the gate of the 42nd Paris Supercross. The most famous “Cowboy” of the SX planet has decided to come to Paris for the very first time in his career. The KTM Red Bull official is happy and ready to give it his all. On November 15th and 16th, AP7 will be unleashing its magic at the Paris Defense Arena. Words: Paris Supercross
“Hi guys, I have some big news… I’m super excited to announce that the Cowboy will be in Paris next November. It’s so cool; it will be a first for me. I’ve never ridden there, just once in France for the MXDN in Ernée. I’m excited to come and fight handlebar to handlebar with Cooper Webb, the Lawrence brothers and all the others. See you there – it’s going to be crazy,” Plessinger explained.
At 29, Aaron Plessinger is getting ready to discover the very special atmosphere of the Paris Supercross. 250 West Coast Champion in 2018, moved up to 450 the following year, official KTM Red Bull since 2022 and recently extended by the Austrian firm, AP7 took sixth place in the SX championship this year with a victory at Foxborough, plus four additional podiums.
Also very fast in Pro Motocross, he is a prime recruit for the Paris SX. A unique character in US Supercross – open, friendly, quirky and a showman, – his personality has no equal in the world of SX/MX. Adored by fans around the world, he does not intend to come to Paris on vacation. There’s only one goal for him – to become King of Paris.
You have to go back to 2021 to see a factory KTM win the event. At the time, it was obviously Marvin Musquin who drove his 450 SX-F to the top step of the podium. Also note that the organisers are currently working on more exciting rider announcements, which should be coming soon. Stay tuned.
