The 2016 ACU British Evo National Series kick back into life on Sunday April 3rd at the spectacular Asham Woods circuit at Frome. For the 2016 season the series will increase to a five round championship between the months of April to September, include a two day event in June.
Originally created in 2009 by VMXdN instigator Dave King, the formally named Dave Thorpe Evo Series enjoyed huge success. With the season just around the corner the ACU are pleased to announce that Dave King has returned to help co-ordinate the championship and after a busy winter can confirm the calendar for the 2016 season as follows:
Asham Woods – Frome – 3rd April
Milton Park – Northampton – 1st May
Fox and Hounds – Newbury – 11th/12th June
Owselbury – Winchester – 11th September
Polesworth – Warwickshire – 25th September
The two day event at the fantastic ex GP track at Fox and Hounds near Newbury is already shaping up to be a great weekend of racing with entertained on the Saturday night including a licenced bar with a Live Band.
The classes for this season will be 125/250/500/Clubman/Over 50s and Super Evo Pre96 class. All five rounds will also feature transponder timing.
