This weekend, the AMCA British Motocross Championship chasers travel to Warmingham Lane in Cheshire for round 3 of the 2020 series powered by Datatag and supported by Dunlop. Currently leading the respective classes are Luke Burton(MX1), Jamie Wainwright(MX2), Shane Carless(125cc), James Lane(Vets) and Yarin Evans(Youth).

In MX1, Luke Burton reeled off a great maximum score last time out to thus soar to the top of the standings. It’s very tight though in the race for the title with just 6 points currently separating the leading three riders of Burton, Josh Waterman and Neville Bradshaw. Also still right in the MX1 mix are Corie Southwood, Ashley Greedy, Adam Chatfield and James Dodd.
Yet to suffer defeat, Jamie Wainwright is flying high at the top of the MX2 standings. The KTM ace is 46 points clear of Josh Coleman who had a great ride at Long Lane to bag 2nd overall. Flying the 2T flag with pride, Ryan Crowder is just a further 4 points in arrears behind Coleman. Luke Dean is also very much in the mix at the top end of the Championship table along with Henry Williams, Jansen Day, Jordan Eccles and Lewis Dowdeswell.
With a great overall win at Long Lane, Shane Carless now tops the 125cc charts from Jimmy Margetson, Damon Strydom, Travis Steels, Shane Holmes and Luke Newman. Going into the last round, Jordan Wright was the series leader but following a heavy crash in moto one at Long Lane he has now dropped down to 11th. Providing he has recovered from the effects of that fall, expect him to be right back on the gas this weekend.
The good old Lane brothers continue to dominate the AMCA Vets class. After two round it’s James Lane leading the way and 6 points clear of Simon. The fast starting Paul Burn now holds 3rd with Anthony Bennett, Chris Jones, John Barnes and Kev Rogers next up. After a big crash at Long Lane, Sean Smith has slipped down to 10th in the standings so will be looking to bounce back at Warmingham Lane.
After suffering a last moto puncture at Long Lane, Joel Fisher has relinquished his Youth 85cc class lead. Joel is now 13 points behind leader Yarin Evans. Taking the overall win last time out, Evans will want to maintain his place at the top but the likes of Lewis Roden, Caleb Greaves, Oliver Rigby and the fast starting Falon Baillie will be looking to halt his march.
