VMXdN Foxhill is getting bigger and better by the week and with the third annual event now just eleven weeks away conversations are happening across the globe in the run up to the worlds most talked about vets’ motocross event. The event takes place at the iconic Wiltshire Grand Prix circuit near Swindon over the August Bank holiday weekend of the 22nd-25th. Words: Press Release
With one of the greatest racing careers ever, to include nine-time AMA championships, multiple MXoN victories (anyone who was witness to him destroying the field at Budds Creek on a 250f will attest to his speed) and GP winner, there is no questioning Ryan Villopoto’s credibility. He has been at every VMXdN Foxhill to date, leading the American team to victory in the inaugural event in 2022. In 2023, after not having the time, as he needed to train in preparation for the intense level of competition in the International VMXdN team race, RV returned to be chief VIP and event ambassador, signing autographs, and sinking a beer or two with fans. In 2024, RV is back and racing! Having been tempted to race in the Evo Plus group, he will line up on his DocWob built, Pro Circuit tuned YZ 250 for the crowd to witness greatness. RV will be on site all weekend and taking part not only in the races, but he will be guest on the Torq Moto podcast show where he will join Jeffro, DocWob and Pulp MX host Steve Matthes on the couch interviewing riders in the early evening of both the Friday and Saturday of the event.
In other great news for Villopoto fans, there will be a limited run of his replica race team shirts, made by sponsors Fasthouse, available for sale at the event and RV is always happy to pose for photographs and sign them for the perfect “man cave” souvenir of the event. Available for just £100 – though numbers are limited so advise to get one early.
With more names already announced racing and plenty more to come, alongside legends of motocross like ‘the beast from the east’ Damon Bradshaw hanging out over the four-day event, and the open paddock there is every opportunity to grab a selfie with your MX hero, have a quick natter or reminisce over days gone by accompanied by a cold beer of course! The four-day family festival celebrates everything that is great and good in the vets and evo two-stroke motocross world and that’s before you even talk about the sheer scale of the event and finesse of the machines on display.
Talking of which the Show’N’Shine bike show (held on the Friday of the event) is a fan favourite and massively subscribed, the machines on show are nothing short of spectacular and for 2024 with The Range/Wilko on board as sponsor alongside Motoverde the prizes will be huge. There is plenty to do in the evenings with nightly evening shows including live podcasts, rider interviews as well as a DJ set to dance to, into the night.
With more legends and attractions being announced almost daily it is most certainly one not to be missed and what’s even better is the price, with an adult weekend ticket working out at just £16 a day!
If you have seen the aerial photo circulating on socials, of last year’s event, its plain to see how popular the event is. With ticket sales up year on year, you best get your tickets sorted sooner rather than later!
