JR Reyes is to race with Revo Husqvarna this weekend (25/26th May) in Saint Jean Angerly in the EMX125 class.

The 17-year-old American rider will be competing on a TC125 for one round only thanks to rider and team sponsor; Seven, offering the talented rider the opportunity to experience racing at a world championship level.

Reyes has 10 AMA National titles and 1 FIM Latin American Championship to his name (representing Mexico). The Texan has also competed in the highly coveted Loretta Lynns race for the last 10 years with a best finish of third. Following his successful racing career in America, JR’s goal is to race in Europe full time.

Mark Yates:
“Just over a month ago, Roger Larsen (at Seven) called me and asked what I thought about running Reyes on a TC125 for the EMX125 race in France. We are well known for nurturing young, talented riders so we are excited to be able to host him racing in Europe. As Reyes is not competing for a title, it is a great opportunity for him to see if he would like to further his career racing full time in Europe. Roger and I both just want him to go out there, have fun and show everyone what he can do!”

JR Reyes:
“I have always been a huge fan of the MXGP series and I am looking forward to competing against some of the best 125 riders in the world. Thank you Mark and Sam Yates and the entire Revo Husqvarna team for giving me this opportunity.”
