Welcome to the new Brit MX Catch Up from Live Motocross. A brand new feature each month with three riders competing in the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship. Each month we will be catching up with the three riders seeing how training is going, discussing the previous Revo MXGB round, other British motocross series they are competing in and more…

Stay tuned on our Instagram page @livemotocrossmagazine each month to put forward a question.

How have you been over the past few months?

“Surprisingly busy if I am honest, I have had a role change at work which has kept me busy learning and getting on top of that, I have spent a lot of time going mountain biking, It has been awesome to have time to get stuck into a new sport and I love it! With not been able to go out on my motocross bike, it has been the closest thing to riding MX that I have done this year and the bike skill you learn for riding them I think will be transferable to the motocross bike as well, but I will be able to tell you when I get chance to ride my MX Bike ahaha. Not to forget the Wednesday night MX Nationals Zwift rides, they haven’t let me forget what its like to be pushed to your absolute limits! Wednesdays are now not a day I look forward too, until I can go ride MX in the day and have an excuse to not join the Zwift ride.”

The ACU announced the other week that motorcycle sports can resume from March 31st with one day events and two days coming into effect later in April. How are you feeling about this? Are you planning on getting out on the bike as much as possible from this date?

“Absolutely buzzing to be able to get back out on the bike! Yeah, I plan to get as much riding in as possible because I have some catching up to do before the season starts. Even though I feel fit and strong with all the off bike training that I have been doing, nothing can really beat bike time and with been in lockdown I have done very little.”

Can you tell us a bit about your plans for 2021 as I see you are racing for RFX KTM this year?

“I will be racing for RFX Whites Transport KTM for the 2021 season. I will be posting a bit more about this in the next few weeks.”

What drives you to train for racing?

“For me personally I know that the more I train and the harder I push myself in training on and off the bike the easier race day is going to be and the better chance I have of taking the win. It helps me dig deeper than if I was just going to just go for a bicycle ride or a row because I know if I put myself though the pain cave here the better chance I have to be successful.”

Who’s your biggest motocross idol and why?

“James Stewart for sure, the talent he had on a bike was ridiculous and his creativity was next level! Off the bike he was a bit hit and miss but the way he rode makes you overlook that.”

What’s your plans for the next 5 years personnel and also motocross related?

“To be a millionaire entrepreneur envied by millions. Jokes aside I know where I want to end up, I just haven’t decided the route to get there yet. For motocross the aim is to win races and as long as I feel I have the potential and the people around me still believe that I will continue to race.”

How to you prepare or psych yourself up before a moto?

“A good Warm up and a killer playlist! I can’t tell you what songs are on the playlist, but they help me remember what I’ve been tough to get here and that gets me in the right frame of mind to give it everything!”
