Thor British Youth Nationals Open class rider Tom Grimshaw took a wildcard spot at the weekend for the sixth round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship.
Grimshaw will be completing his British Youth career at the end of this season and will be competing in the Maxxis British Championship next year.
We caught up with Tom to see how the weekend was for him.
“Blaxhall was a great chance for me to dip my toe in the water at this level which is a step up from the British Youth Championship. I went into this event with no expectations, just to ride for the experience. It was so fast and intense, however I will say I did enjoy the day.”
Tom continues with “It was a shame I was taken down in Moto two after a great start. I remounted and finished the Moto thats the main thing. I will defiantly say I learnt a lot from the day and I can not wait to build on this ready for next year.”
