Herlings had a crash in the first corner of the opening moto of the Italian Championship yesterday, Herlings day ended there. At the beginning there were concerns that he had sustained an injury during the crash, however he has now confirmed there is no injury or issues.
Jeffrey Herlings will now make the journey to the UK for the 2018 Hawkstone International scheduled for this weekend.
Herlings commented in a press release:
“The crash was not too bad but getting run over wasn’t much fun. I was lucky that it wasn’t too bad but the bike was pretty damaged so that meant it wasn’t possible to continue. A shame we couldn’t race; at least this is an upgrade from this time last year when we came away with a broken hand! Aside from today I’m feeling good with the bike and we’ll go again next week.”
