This weekend will be the first of the two home races for Michele Cervellin and his CRF250RW as the FIM world championship heads to Arco; Italy.
This will be a welcome return to familiar ground for Cervellin after his first taste of competing in the MXGP fly aways has come with a whole host of new challenges and mixed results. After improving on his starts in Mexico, the Italian will be looking to break into the top six who all run at a similar pace in the highly competitive MX2 class.
With rain forecast over the weekend this could prove to make the hard-packed track, a little muddy for the first day of racing. The first MX2 qualifying race starts at 16h25 local time on Saturday 15th April.

I am looking forward to heading back into Europe this weekend. The track I know well and it is really close to my home so its a local one for me. I raced in Europe last year so I feel more comfortable coming back to tracks that I know which means I will hopefully do better for myself and the team. The first few rounds I have learnt a lot which I can put into my racing in Europe.

Obviously, we are only running Cervellin in MX2 at this round. Last weekend he picked up a small injury in an Italian race but hopefully this won’t be handicap him too much this weekend. This is home soil for Cervellin so now he is back on familiar ground we are looking for a top five/six result as he knows the track very well. There is no reason why we can’t expect to be up there in results.
