Although Lars Lindstrom (Team Honda HRC manager) confirmed he had some serious pain in his right hip and leg, he stated Jett was good to go for moto two. The 20-year-old star then battled to an admirable sixth in the second stanza to claim 12th overall.
When speaking to Jason Thomas afterwards, Jett gave his take on his tough day at the office, stating: “Yeah, I kind of just used all my upper body in the first part and I was feeling okay. And then once that got tired, I tried using my legs and this (right) leg wouldn’t. Kind of wouldn’t work. I got a chunk taken out so that doesn’t help. Little les muscle, you could say almost, but yeah, it sucks. But gonna go back, recover, you know. It’s gonna make it a better story in the long run. So we’ll try and get back, get healthy and then come back even stronger.”
