Joey Savatgy suffered a huge crash at Indy while running inside the top ten. The Quad Lock Honda Racing ace was thrown over the handlebars in a challenging rhythm section, which ultimately ended his night.
Thankfully Savatgy was able to walk off with assistance from the medical team, and provided an injury update today, with him confirming he’s suffering a punctured lung and some broken ribs. “Not really the way I wanted to spend my Sunday. Bummed – had a good night going and felt like I hit the same line as the laps prior. But clearly I made a mistake or something. Punctured lung and some broken ribs – weekend off came at a good time” he posted.
We wish him all the best for his recovery in his pursuit to return to racing as soon as possible.
