Maxime Renaux suffered a heavy fall on the third lap of race one. Despite this setback, the 24-year-old exhibited remarkable determination by finishing the race in 17th position. While Renaux felt capable of lining up for race two, he visited the medical centre as a precautionary measure, and he was ultimately advised to sit out the second race to ensure a proper recovery. “Saturday quali race technical problem put us on the last gate pick. In the first moto, while pushing to come back from a bad start, I had a big crash. I was out of breath and hurt my chest/lungs. I stood up very far from the group and just tried to save what I could,” Renaux stated.

“Got a check done in between races to be sure my lungs were okay, as I was spitting blood, and got refused to start in the second moto by the medical crew. I tried everything to push them to let me race, but the exams they could do on track weren’t enough to call me fit to race. Very disappointed and angry to lose important points this way, especially when I’ve been pushing so hard past these weeks to get through a hand injury.

“Will now get the right exams done in Belgium, and hopefully they will let me ride in Arco next weekend.”
