This Saturday, the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship gets under way with the season opener at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, California, just down the street from the headquarters of Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., in nearby Cypress. The Monster Energy/Knich/Yamaha Factory Racing team is set to make its 2018 debut, with Cooper Webb (#2) and Justin Barcia (#51) ready to compete aboard their factory-prepared 2018 YZ450F machines in the 450SX Championship. Justin is racing in place of teammate Davi Millsaps, who will not race at Anaheim, but will still be there to meet fans and cheer on the team.

Commenting on this Saturday’s Supercross season opener at Anaheim, Cooper said, “I’m excited for A1. It’s been a long off-season, and a lot of hard work has been put in by all of us on the team. I have a completely clean slate going into 2018…new bike, new mindset, new everything. I can’t wait to kick this season off, and make it a good one!”

“I’m looking forward to A1,” Justin said. “The team and I have put our heads down, dug deep, and we’ve got our new Yamaha working fantastic. The new chassis on the 2018 YZ450F is just incredible. My fitness is at an all-time high, and both my body and mind are ready to get back to racing and winning!”
