With no Grand Prix this weekend Jack, his trainer 2010 British Champion Zach Osborne, and Team Manager Steve Dixon decided it would be beneficial to do a last-minute British Championship meeting. With Ash Kane coming down from Newcastle to support, alongside Paul Keates as mechanic – the Big Van World MTX Kawasaki rider went 2-1 for the overall at the famous Lyng circuit; his first time seeing and riding the track. It’s good to see Jack getting used to the bike and English life, and spending time training with 3x world champ Courtney Duncan. Hopefully the win and race time this weekend will help with the results at Portugal this coming weekend.
“It was nice for Jack to do a British Championship, hearing many stories from 2010 British Champion Zach Osborne; although Zach finished 3rd in his first attempt of a British Championship round so I’m sure there will be some friendly banter between them there. I’d like to thank the ACU and organisers RHL for re-analysing the race without the pressure that comes at these events, accepting a mistake had been made with the results, and rewarding Jack the overall.” says Team Manager Steve Dixon
“Lovely day yesterday racing on a sick track. I let the moto 1 win slip away but came out firing for a rainy moto 2! Got in the lead quickly with a nice gap and right at halfway they ended the race with a red flag due to rider safety – but after the ACU and organiser RHL reviewed the results I took home the overall with a 2-1 finish. I’m super pumped heading into Portugal now.” says MX2 rider Jack Chambers
