Australian Jed Beaton has been forced to pull out of the opening round of the 2019 World Motocross Championship (MXGP) which is set to take place this weekend in Argentina.
The Rockstar Husqvarna MX2 rider suffered a vertebrae injury last weekend at the Lacapelle Marival International MX in France according to the team and will now undergo further tests in the coming weeks.
“So devastated to say I won’t be lining up at Argentina, a crash yesterday at Lacapelle left me with a few fractures in my vertebrae.” Beaton said on Instagram. “I will do my best to be back at GP’s as fast as possible! Thanks to the whole team for support and all hard work through this whole off season. We will be back soon.”
