How was the opening round of the AMCA Championship for you?
“It was almost a perfect first round. Poled qualifying and went 1-1-3. Track was gnarly as hell it was nice to be back behind the gate with the current situation we are in.”
The track was a wet one but provided some great racing. What was your thoughts?
“I personally loved it! Plenty of line choices! I wouldnt say it was wet. It was perfect in places just a little wet in the woods! Hats off to the club for pulling off a cracker!“
Looking ahead to this weekend at long lane what’s your plan and goal for the second round?
“Yeah i’m really looking forward to round 2. Obviously i want to win but 3 consistent rides and keeping the championship lead is the plan.”
What’s your thoughts on long lane?
It’s my club, they have been working hard on altering the track and preparing it, i believe it will be a good round!
Can you give us a bit about your career to date in Mx and how you came from youth to adult racing in the UK?
The youth days were spent mainly on team green Kawasaki. I made the move to KTM in the final youth year and won the BYMX and MXY2. Progressed into the adults it was a bit of a rough ride but i stuck to it got some fairly good results 6th in a british mx1 race being my best result. Had that massive crash at matterly and that was a massive set back for me so decided to drop it down a level and entered the amca. Love the series its a good atmosphere and we all enjoy it as a family in our small close knitted team.
