RHL Activities and Norwich Viking MCC are pleased to announce the Club will host a round of the 2023 Revo ACU British Motocross Championship on April 23rd 2023.
To ensure this former Grand Prix Circuit remains as a leading venue within the Offroad Calendar, the Norwich Vikings have given assurances to the Parish Council and local residents, there will be no repercussion of the incidents of 2022. The implication of this means for 2023 there will be no 85cc classes at this round of the Championship.
Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities
“I am pleased to have the venue of Cadders Hill, Lyng back on the calendar for 2023 and appreciate the conditions the Club have had to impose to safeguard the future of the venue. This is a frustrating situation for us all to be in, but as the Promoter, and you as Riders, we must support the Club and work together to continue to include the challenge of this top level venue. I am confident our sport can learn from 2022 and ensure as a community we work with Organisers and Landowners to rebuild relationships with them and their neighbours to allow us to continue racing on these prestigous sites.
Phil Armes, Chairman of Norwich Vikings MCC
“Despite several attempts over the years to incorporate the youth classes to events at Cadders Hill there always seems to be an element within the youth ranks determined to undermine everything that is good about motocross. As organisers of motocross events from grass roots through to Grands Prix the Vikings have worked hard over the 80 plus years we have operated at Lyng to maintain a close relationship with the local residents to ensure the continued use of such a tremendous venue which is valued by everyone who races there. We are delighted to once again reach agreement with RHL Activities to run a round of the Revo ACU British Motocross Championship and we are working hard with them to replace the 85cc class with an eye watering extra race category in keeping with the traditions of this iconic venue; watch this space!”
