News broke earlier this morning that Standing Construct Honda MXGP rider Pauls Jonass will sit out of this weekends MXGP round due to an injury sustained in Switzerland last weekend.
Pauls posted the below on his social media channels:
Unfortunately, I will not be on the gate at the @mxgp of Trentino this weekend. I suffered a nasty crash during the second heat of the Swiss Grand Prix in Frauenfeld, leaving me severely bruised with a large hematoma on my hip and thigh.
After seeking medical advice from a specialist in Herentals, Belgium, it has been deemed impossible for me to safely ride a motorcycle in the coming days.
This has led to the difficult decision of withdrawing him from the #MXGP of Trentino.
I will now shift focus towards recovery, aiming to be in top shape for the MXGP of Portugal in two weeks. Thanks to everyone for their support!
