Revo Seven Kawasaki rider Dylan Walsh celebrated his first podium of the Revo British Motocross Championships as he returned to the MX2 class at Lyng on Sunday, 8th May.

In the class of which he was champion in 2019, Dylan qualified strongly in 2nd despite running with a hastily-modified machine due to the short-notice change of bike. The engine had many stock components but Dylan blasted into 2nd from the start of race one, and held it til the flag. That was followed by Dylan taking the holeshot in race two, and holding off series leader Conrad Mewse for several laps, despite fuel pressure issues restricting the power of the KX250 with his suspension flown across from the USA. Dylan was very happy to be on the podium once more.

“To get two solid starts and convert them to 2nd places is a real positive, I’m really looking forward to the next round at Canada Heights, for sure I’ll be up for the win there!” said Dylan.

Jamie Wainwright continued to battle for points in the pack, with a few spills leaving him 19th in race one, before a better start was hampered by a crashed rider in his path that caused him to fall also, but with improved settings from recent testing in Belgium he fought back to 12th in the end. “Overall I think it’s just bad luck and starts that’s letting me down but we will get there.” said Jamie.

Canada Heights is next on 22nd May 2022.
