There’s dominating a class and then there’s really dominating a class and that’s exactly what REVO Husqvarna UK riders Dylan Walsh and Alvin Ostlund are currently doing in the MX2 category of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship supported by Pro Clean.

Last time out at Foxhill the pair matched their Hawkstone Park performances at the previous round and ran 1-2 in both races – despite the fact that neither rider had raced at the former GP track before – with Dylan claiming a double win and Alvin following him home less than a second behind each time.
The result moves Dylan into an 18-point lead over Alvin and sets the Kiwi up for the British title at his first attempt heading into Landrake next month but, with no team orders in place, Alvin still hasn’t given up hope of winning the title.
“I’m feeling good but I’m very disappointed that Dylan scored more points than me because it felt like I was the fastest rider,” he said. “It’s hard to accept again finishing second in both races and I was less than one second behind both times. It’s difficult to pass the guy!
“Dylan has a big lead but you never know what can happen. I just need to concentrate on doing my thing and work hard. It’s not over yet.”
Team boss Mark Yates was understandably delighted with his riders’ performances.
“It’s been a brilliant day and I’m really pleased. You can’t get better than a 1-2 and to do it twice in a row is just fantastic. Alvin’s trying so hard and I really felt for him. He’s focussed on trying to beat Dylan and there was nothing between them. They’re both class acts.
“We’re now heading into the final round with Dylan leading Alvin by 18 points and Josh Gilbert by 46 so we’re in a very strong position to take the title and even finish the season in first and second in the championship.”
