Calum Mitchell had a positive day at Lyng for the second round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship.
Following a good start at Fatcats in March, Calum ended the days racing at the popular circuit of Lyng in 16th position which puts him now in 14th in the Maxxis ACU MX2 British Motocross Championship.
“Lyng was solid for me. Starting off the day with a 11th in qualifying, I was looking forward to the races. Race 1 start was mega I was inside the top 10 where unfortunately got taken away after getting caught up in a crash on lap 1. Coming from the back of the pack I managed to get myself to 18th. The track was really starting to rough up. Race 2 came I had a mid pack start and just battled my way to 14th with some great battles and passes along the way.” says Calum Mitchell
“Really happy with my fitness on the bike as I felt strong the whole moto but will keep pushing hard to break in to the top 10. The next British Championship is at Canada Heights, so I’ll keep training hard on and off the bike and we will see what happens. I would like to thank SF Racing Team and all that help to make the process easier.”
