KTM is synonymous with success in motocross racing and developing young talent. With this in mind RHL Activities is pleased that KTM UK will continue its association with the British Youth Motocross Championship as joint title sponsor along with Judd Racing.

The Judd KTM British Youth Championship is going from strength to strength. With a vision that’s similar to RHL Activities’ in finding and nurturing the next generation of talent, the partnership between RHL, KTM and Judd Racing remains a strong one heading into the new season and looks to continue the development of the ACU Championship, which will see youngsters grow as riders on their pathway to compete in European and International competition.

In addition, KTM and Judd created a special initiative together last season that will continue for a second year with the Judd Orange Brigade – an official KTM UK team that specifically supports riders through the ranks from 50cc to 250cc as they climb the racing ladder. These riders, of which there are 10 for 2019, receive comprehensive support from KTM UK and Judd Racing both in equipment discount, parts, clothing, help at the races in a professional environment, promotion and training days.

KTM and Judd reaped the rewards of their efforts by winning four of the six 2018 Judd KTM British Youth Championship titles. Bailey Johnston took the 85cc Small Wheel title for the team, Jack Grayshon the 85BW championship; Drew Anderson was the 125cc champion, and Aaron Lee-Hanson the British Open title. With the expansion of the programme for 2019, KTM, who are renowned for nurturing riders from a young age into world champions – such as Jeffrey Herlings and Jorge Prado – along with Judd are excited for the season and rider development to begin.

Commenting on the Judd Orange Brigade and supporting the British Youth Championship Simon Roots, KTM Marketing, Events & Motorsport Manager said: “Following on from the successful first year of KTM UK supporting the British Youth Championship and the Judd Orange Brigade, we are looking forward to seeing what a continuation of our collaboration with Judd and RHL can bring. The Judd KTM British Youth Championship itself is going from strength to strength, and as we said before it really makes sense for us as a READY TO RACE company to work with RHL Activities in developing young talent on their pathway to international competition, and to be involved in shaping young riders for their future. We now have expanded to 10 riders in the Judd Orange Brigade team that are benefitting from our support, including initiatives such as a recent training day at Doncaster Motoparc, and we hope for great things in 2019 as we see riders in the team and championship develop further.”

Michelle Arnold, Director of Judd Racing comments on supporting the British Youth Championship: “We are very proud to again be joint title sponsors with KTM UK, of the 2019 Judd KTM British Youth Championship!  With the British Youth Titles on the line, and especially with the new Rookie British Titles up for grabs, it’s an exciting time for what is the pinnacle of British Youth Motocross racing.  We’ll be present at every round, along with the Judd Orange Brigade, and look forward to seeing all of the talented riders from across the UK compete in such a crucial Championship for the sport”.
