The Machine Shop is designed for keen amateur motorcycle and car mechanics and hobby bike builders to have access to factory-style facilities including work benches, welders, parts washers, guillotines, pipe benders and tyre balancers from just £40 per month.

Owner Bob Teahan has been has been a professional engineer for fourteen years, spent five years as a senior engineer for a major UK motorcycle manufacturer, and has built and prepped bikes for Irish road race teams.
He said: “When I was a young engineer learning the ropes I didn’t have access to a workshop full of premium tools and machines. So, fast forward a few years and I have created a ‘gym-membership’ style workshop where you have access to all of the latest machinery and tools.”
He added: “We have fully qualified people on site at all times, and you can book some time with them to be taught key skills you wish to learn, like welding for example. The machine-shop is a self-service engineering and vehicle restoration workshop equipped with every tool to aid you whether you’re changing a light bulb or completing a full restoration.”
He continued: “If you need to panel beat, shot blast, weld, turn, chop, cut, mill, drill, spray, lift or learn, we have the tools for you.”
As well as access to brand new kit in a fully kitted professional set-up, The Machine Shop also offers classes from MIG welding, exhaust welding, scratch removal, metal polishing and aluminium TIG welding classes. Classes start at £30 for scratch removal, up to £80 for a four-hour class on aluminium TIG welding.
