After penning a new deal with performance sportswear company Virus Performance UK to become joint title sponsor, team owner Steve Turner confirmed the team will now be known as Wilvo Virus Performance KTM.
Virus uses cutting edge fabric technology to help strengthen, cool, warm and recover during training and competing and as part of the deal the team’s riders, Shaun Simpson and Adam Sterry will become V Team athletes and have the benefit of wearing the brand.
The company has just launched its new V Moto range which has been developed specifically for Motorsport. VIRUS is constantly working on offering better solutions for athletes and consumers and this new V MOTO gear is an incredible example of that. “We gave a great deal of thought to what our customers were looking for and listened to the feedback from our professional athletes who helped test the products,” stated Sten Rasmussen of VIRUS Marketing. “We strongly believe this new collection takes it to a whole new level for our Moto athletes and are certain they will benefit from the well engineered design.”
Team Manager, Steve Turner commented, “ We’re excited to be hooking up with Virus Performance UK and particularly enthusiastic to be working with such a cutting edge company. Their products are extremely high quality and the riders have been really impressed with the feel and fit. They have found particular benefits with the cooling range when training or riding and afterwards from the recovery series which also offers many advantages when worn on the long haul flights which the riders are faced with during the season. The stay warm range is also a must for the freezing winter months.”
Virus Performance UK Marketing Manager, Jennie Farnell added “ Everyone at Virus is really excited that we have secured a deal to become a joint title sponsor of such a high profile team with riders of the calibre and popularity of Shaun Simpson and Adam Sterry. We are looking forward to building a longstanding relationship with the whole team and using the exposure Wilvo Virus Performance KTM offers to build the Virus brand within the motocross community.”
