Great Britain’s premier motocross series, the Maxxis British Motocross Championship, will be broadcast into millions of homes worldwide throughout 2016, with world-renowned sports broadcaster Eurosport as its UK Host Broadcaster.
Organiser ACU Events is more than thrilled to announce that as part of a comprehensive worldwide package of TV coverage, the 2016 Maxxis British Motocross Championship has gained prime-time slots on Eurosport. Each of the eight rounds will be screened on the following weekend, played out in the morning and afternoon.
This positioning means the Maxxis British Motocross Championship will complement the other popular motorsports events, particularly on two wheels, including the World Superbike and British Superbike Championships, putting the excitement of motocross in front of a committed, enthusiastic audience.
In addition to the extensive coverage Eurosport are providing, Fox Sports Australia, MAV TV USA and Sport TV Portugal will also broadcast a one hour highlights program from each round of the series. Highlights will also feature in popular motorsport magazine shows Max Power, Motorsport Mundial and Planet Speed.
David Kerr, Managing Director of Eurosport in the UK said, “We are always looking for good quality motorsport to fuel the passion of our viewers for all types of bike racing. Adding the Maxxis British Motocross Championship to our existing track and road racing, gives us another great series and strengthens our position as the Home of Bikes.”
Stuart Drummond, Championship Manager “it’s great to see the coverage of the Maxxis ACU British Championship move forward in this direction as it is sure to create more exposure to all.”
Broadcasts begin on Saturday 26th March with coverage from the opening round.
