Starting off with congratulations to all the people that participated and donated to the St. Jude campaign at Indianapolis. As a sport, we have it pretty good, living a life with dirt bikes. To be able to offer some relief to the children and families that are less fortunate has some rewarding qualities. So, for every rider and team that took the time to donate, along with Sean, Joe and the Feld staff that organised it – Thank you! Hopefully our efforts are making a difference in these kids’ lives. It has been a busy and hectic time here at the facility since Indy. Although there was no race last weekend, the training continues. Having the transporter back also adds to the workload since it needs to be inventoried and reset for the rest of the Supercross season. With four cross country trips to complete the Supercross schedule, the transporter will not return home until May. The unfortunate news that came out earlier this week was the injury of Jett Reynolds. The sport can be brutal training or racing, and he ended up breaking his leg. He had successful surgery on Monday and is already on the mend. He will be out for the balance of Supercross but looks forward to his return in the outdoor season.

MAX VOHLAND #92

Certainly you have noticed, Max Vohland is getting better each round. Now that the bike is where it needs to be to accommodate his body and style, it is game on for the rest of the season. The time off from the schedule was spent on more start testing. Each rider has their own idiosyncrasies when it comes to launch control and Max and crew worked on a plan to start in a way that he can replicate each time. The initial results were promising, knowing full well the bike can start up front as referenced by his teammates getting holeshots earlier this season. At the East/West Showdown in Indianapolis, Max finished a respectable tenth place overall, but I can tell you he was not happy – in fact he barely broke a sweat. He knows what needs to happen and the Triple Crown in Birmingham will be an opportunity to showcase what he has learned this week.

DEVIN SIMONSON #88

Devin is back on the bike! He has been cleared to do some light riding and spent some time on the turn track this week. We are optimistic that he will be able to return to racing in the near future.

SMX NEXT

Birmingham brings the third round of the SMX Next series. This series has been an incredible success and seems to get better with each event. The riders not only get to race on the professional tracks but get to interact with some of the most influential people in the sport. We are fortunate enough to have three entries this weekend: #600 Alex Fedortsov, #981 Ryder Malinoski and #257 Jesson Turner. Alex and Jesson already have podium finishes and it is just a matter of time before Ryder lands there as well.

These recent YouTube videos are awesome as the team continues to perform at the highest level. Checkout this one from Indianapolis.
