After a solid showing in AMA Monster Energy Supercross and, more recently the French SX Tour, Dylan Woodcock will be going ‘airborne’ racing Supercross in the UK at Steel Hawk Motorcycle Club’s ‘Airborne Gunner Supercross’ at Cusses Gorse on Tuesday 9th August.

Dylan will be making a return appearance after racing last year’s inaugural event, where he just missed out on a podium racing a stock KX250 This year he returns more prepared with the backing of SR75 Suzuki and plenty more experience after another impressive run racing in America.

“I’m really looking forward to racing Airborne Gunner again”, says Dylan. “Fair play to Steel Hawk Motorcycle Club; they’re making a real effort to get a U.K Supercross scene off the ground, and having raced in the U.S quite a bit now I can tell you, we need it in the U.K. I don’t class myself as a motocross rider anymore, I’m now a Supercross racer so to have a cool summer event to go here at home is great. I really hope everyone gets behind it and supports them because I know they’re serious about turning it into a summer series for next year and that would be awesome. I know already they’ve had to double up the classes in the Autos and 65cc’s so I think that shows you there’s a future for Supercross in the U.K, especially now with the World SX series starting up.”

“I really want to win it this year and get my name on the Melvyn Brunell Trophy. I know it means a lot to Jack and I think it’s awesome he’s got together with Jeff, Julie and Paul and put a trophy worth winning on the table. Jack has always been good to me and Melv was too. It would be an honour to have my name on that trophy, although I’m sure Jack will be doing all he can to get his name on there again and as many times as possible. This year I’m coming in more prepared now I’ve done a deal with Geoff at SR75 World Team so I’ll be ready. I’m really liking the Suzuki and feeling good on it. I want to go there, win and put on a good show for the fans that come out. I’m passionate about helping build a U.K scene and I know the other lads I’m racing are too. Hopefully it will all go really well and the guys can get some good industry backing to make it an official U.K championship. If we can all help to do that and be part of it I’ll be made up.”
