After his nasty crash at the MXGP of Portugal, Simon Langenfelder has confirmed he’s suffered a broken collarbone. Despite securing a quality second in the opening moto, his frustrating fall in the second race caused the injury, thus seeing the Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing ace DNF.

“Portugal didn’t end how we wanted. Solid first race to secure a second place, but crashed out in the first lap of the second race and broke my collarbone,” he stated.

“Every lap in Agueda was a battle against the elements as much as against the clock this weekend. We showed our pace and fought hard, proving that even under the toughest conditions, we push to the limit. It’s a setback, for sure, but every challenge is a setup for a stronger comeback. We’ll heal, regroup, and hit the track with even more determination. Thank you, as always, to the team for all their hard work and support this weekend.”

We wish him all the best for a swift recovery in his pursuit to get back out there sooner rather than later.
