This past weekend the Mid Sussex Motocross Club hosted the annual Compass Cup event at Culham Moto Park on the banks of the River Thames. The annual team for ACU clubs made it’s welcomed return after being forced to miss a year in 2020 due to Covid.

With 7 club teams contesting the event across the two-day format and around 280 riders competing for club honours, there was plenty of intense action across all the classes during the weekend.

It was the Kensworth Schoolboy Motocross Club who put in a tremendous performance to claim the victory after leading the event at the end of the opening day. Kensworth back this up by taking victory on the second day to secure victory of the 2021 Compass Cup team event. It was Gest MX who finished in second and pushed Kensworth hard with East Kent in third.

The class victories over the weekend saw Freddie Darvill claim the Auto class win with four straight race wins from Stanley Lewis and Oscar Matten. Riley-Ray Barrow took the victory in the 65cc class ahead of Franky Donoghue and Alfie Malins.

In the Small Wheel 85cc class Blake Ward-Clarke took the class victory ahead of Oakley Kettle in second and Rocco Hands in third. Meanwhile it was Brandon Hedayat who took the win in the Big Wheel 85cc class over William Murphy and Levi Saunders in third.

The Youth 125cc would see Joel Fisher dominate the class with four race wins as he took the overall victory ahead of Louie Evans and Josh Jones. The Youth Open class would see Thomas Harris claim the victory from Josh Bassett and Mckenzie Marshall.
