Unfortunately Team HRC’s Brian Bogers will not be lining up at the MXGP of Sweden due to a right-shoulder injury sustained at Imola last weekend.

The Dutch rider was collected up in a crash by another rider in the second race at the MXGP of Italy and fell awkwardly on his AC joint, forcing him to pull out race. After seeing a specialist on Monday in Belgium, the doctor ordered him to try and rest in order to be ready for Uddevalla but unfortunately there hasn’t been enough time and Bogers will be unable to race at the weekend.

It is a big disappointment for the Honda CRF450RW rider who had had a 100% attendance record so far in the 2019 MXGP season, and was hoping to end the season strongly.

Bogers will now look to be ready for the next round in Turkey on September 7-8 which is the penultimate round of the world motocross championship.

Brian Bogers: Obviously it is a big shame to be missing the Swedish GP this weekend. I tried my best to be ready for it, making sure to rest as much as possible but it just hasn’t healed in time to be able to race at MXGP level. I rode on Thursday, just to see if it was good enough but I knew after a few laps that I wouldn’t be able to race on Sunday. My aim now is to get back fully healthy for the following round in Turkey where I really want to show everyone again what I am capable of.
