The St Blazey Premier MX got underway on Sunday at Pontrilas, where we saw Luke Hawkins, Jordan Barrs, Giles Richards, Darren Banwell, Grant Roberts, Chris Brown and Adam Harris take the overall honours.
In the Expert class there was no stopping Luke Hawkins who took all three moto wins with his best lap time in moto three with a time of 2:14. Hawkins had some good battles with Tommy Alba who walked away with second spot on the podium. Adam Harris, Daniel Preston and Tom Card rounded up the top five for the Expert class.
With a good line up of Junior riders, the days action saw and A & B class run. In the Junior A’s there were some close racing between Jordan Barrs, Bradley Flagg and Thomas Andrew who took the top three spots in the A’s, with Nathan Frayne and Christian Dicks taking fourth and fifth overall sports.
In the Junior B class there were some changes throughout the pack during all three motos however taking the overall top five spots for the class was Giles Richards, Luke Price, Clayton Hogg, James Chard and Kieran Price.
There was no stopping Adam Harris in the Two Stroke’s. Harris took all three moto wins and all three best lap times. Billy King walked away with second spot and Jordan Carter taking third overall for the Two Stroke Championship. Rounding up the top five was James Kensington and Callum Gasson.
In the Overs class where there is the Over 35, Over 40 and Over 50 Championships, there were some close battles. Darren Banwell took the top spot in all three motos for the Over 35’s, with Thomas White, Tim Pearce, Guy Langmead and Leigh Brean rounding out the top five for the Over 35’s. In the Over 40’s it was Grant Roberts, Dean Davies, Robert Topp, Steven Powell and Ben Rose taking the top five spots. In the Over 50 class it was Chris Brown, Ray Chivers, Rob Lewis, John Card and Simon Stockham taking the top five positions.
The final race of the day was the Mark Dicks Memorial race where the top 10 riders in the Experts, Junior A, Two Stroke and Overs were invited to battle it out for one final race for the Mark Dicks Memorial trophy, where Thomas Andrews took the win.
