Round 5 of the ACU Eastern Championship Returns to Lyng Monday 22 August, 2016 After the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship & Round 2 of the ACU Eastern Championship held at Cadders Hill, Lyng in March & May, there has been a lengthy wait for the next meeting but preparations are almost completed for the next event at Lyng which is now only a few days away. Sunday 28th August will see the Norwich Vikings stage the fifth round of the ACU Eastern Championship ACU GBXC British Sprint Championship Finale heads to Westwood on the 3rd and 4th September Monday 22 August, 2016 Rounds 7 & 8 of the ACU GBXC British Sprint Championship are all set for an exciting climax on September 3-4th at the fantastic woodland venue of Westwood near Sheffield, postcode S75 3DL. Guisborough & DMCC host round 8 of the RT Keedwell ACU British Solo Trials Championship Tuesday 23 August, 2016 This coming weekend we see the Guisborough & DMCC host round 8 of the RT Keedwell sponsored British Trials series. Alba Takes Hat trick at Cusses with Carter Taking the Championship Lead Tuesday 23 August, 2016 Last Sunday the Phoenix Tools Premier motocross Championship made its way up to Cusses Gorse in Wiltshire for round 8 in the series which also hosted the penultimate round of the Evo/Super Evo Championship. A lot of rain had fallen late Saturday and through the night which was ideal to put the track nigh on perfect and with water put down midday it was to produce some good racing. Round 4 of the ACU Drag Championships take place this weekend Tuesday 23 August, 2016 Round four of the 2016 ACU Championships takes place this coming Bank Holiday weekend 27-29th August at the APIRA Open Sports Nationals at Shakespeare County Raceway. ACU/FSRA British F2 Sidecar Championship Heads to Croft Tuesday 23 August, 2016 Round five of this year’s British F2 Sidecar Championship heads to Croft a circuit that has been on the championship calendar for a number of seasons and there will inevitably be some spectacular action on virtually every part of the track. DUNLOP AGAIN PROVES HE’S THE MAN TO BEAT IN SUPERBIKE CLASSIC TT Wednesday 24 August, 2016 Michael Dunlop again set the pace in the second qualifying session for the 2016 Classic TT presented by Bennetts, topping the board in the Superbike class. Ian Lougher also again topped the board in the Lightweight class while Dean Harrison and Michael Rutter posted the best times in the Senior and Junior sessions respectively. Wednesday 24 August, 2016 Always one of the most popular rounds of the British Championship the Teesside Autodrome, located in an industrial area of Middlesboro provides a unique setting for a race track and the fast undulating course with its short but challenging dirt section is a real test for Novice and Expert alike. Another benefit to this venue is the ability to run the track in both directions, which gives fantastic variety over the weekend for the sizeable crowd of spectators. David has been suffering for a while with hip pain however, it has now been confirmed that surgery is required and it is uncertain how long the recovery time will be. Ken Hall Trophy Motocross Celebrates 50 Years on August Bank Holiday weekend Thursday 25 August, 2016 On August Bank Holiday, the 28th & 29th, the Langrish MX Club will stage the 50th Ken Hall Motocross. The event will be held at its historic venue at Manor Farm in the village of Langrish. The circuit is one of the best known in Europe famous for its steep climbs and hair raising descents. Bristow and Roberts take Victory at the ‘BIG EVENT’ Thursday 25 August, 2016 This weekend North Berks were celebrating the 10th year of running the Berks Bonanza Supertrial, the top event of the year at Seymours Arena. The weekend promised to be an amazing event and it certainly didn’t disappoint, we had all the top UK riders with us except Dibs sadly, but it opened the trial up for a new winner to take the glory and the prize money.
