Dean Harrison tops first qualifying session

Bradford racer Dean Harrison topped the Supersport leaderboard on the opening night of qualifying at the 2016 Isle of Man TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy. Harrison clocked 124.218mph (18:13.467) on his sixth and final lap of the session while Ivan Lintin topped the leaderboard in the Lightweight after posting a lap of 116.773mph.

Hutchinson quickly on the pace in Superbike class at second qualifying session of Isle of Man TT

Monday night’s evening session at the 2016 Isle of Man TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy got underway promptly at 6.20pm with dry, sunny conditions all round the Mountain Course and the Bingley Bullet Ian Hutchinson continued his excellent form by setting the fastest time of the night with a speed of 129.964mph on the Tyco BMW, two seconds quicker than Michael Dunlop although the latter posted three laps over129mph.

Round four of the eleven round ACU RT Keedwell British Solos Trials Championships comes up this weekend when the Scarborough Club hosts the championship event at Low North Park. The trial with three classes Championship, Expert and Youth A takes place not on Sunday but on Saturday June 4th. Sunday sees Scarborough holding a round of the Supertrial events on a specially built course also at Low North Park, Harwood Dale Postcode YO13 0LA.

Richard Fitch Memorial takes place at Wakes Colne this Sunday

Sunday the 5th of June will see Wakes Colne fire into life once again, this time for the annual Richard Fitch Memorial Meeting. Richard sadly lost his life 11 years ago, doing what he loved. Since then the Halstead Club has been keeping his memory alive with a fun motocross meeting. Gill and Chris Fitch support the club providing many spot prizes for rider’s right through the field including Tyres, Oil, Goggles you name it and once again they will be supporting the meeting this weekend.

‘Bingley Bullet’ blasts to top of RST Superbike leaderboard with first 130mph lap of TT 2016

With glorious conditions once more all across the island, qualifying on Tuesday evening for the 2016 Isle of Man TT Races, fuelled by Monster Energy, went ahead promptly at 6.20pm and Ian Hutchinson recorded the first 130mph lap of the week with his fourth lap of the night stopping the clocks at 130.63mph.

Michael O’Brien fought off competition from Stephen Draper early in the weekend to take three wins from four attempts at Snetterton in the BG Products MRO Powerbikes. The Yamaha R1-mounted rider qualified on pole, but with Draper alongside him on the front row, the opening race promised to be close. It was three starts and three wins for Bob Varey (Yamaha 600) in round two of the Crewe and South Cheshire club’s 450-1100cc championship at Tonfanau, but unless the 19-year-old diesel engineer from Preston can find some sponsorship very soon, his hopes of going on to win the title look slim.Riding a very stock machine, 12 bhp down the opposition, Bob not only raced unbeaten in his three races, but also set a new lap record of 99.64mph in his final outing.
