Two British riders who were hoping to make the trip to Latvia for round 6 of the MXGP World Motocross championship, have now decided to sit out and prepare for Germany instead.
First up Adam Sterry posted the following on his Instagram profile.
“We have decided to not race in Latvia this weekend and take the time to be more prepared for Germany next weekend. Thanks everyone for the support! Can’t wait to get back to @mxgp and get more racing under the belt.”
Current Maxxis British championship tied MX2 points leader James Dunn also decided to sit out Latvia after picking up a chest infection.
“So gutted that after the great opportunity to race mx2 GP in Latvia this weekend I’ve picked up a chest infection this week and won’t be able to ride in Latvia. I’ve decided to rest and get over this illness then be back strong for next weekend at the German GP. Thanks to my team for supporting my decision and believing in me
